Robust base with extra grip
The Hoopomania BKHH Kids Hula Hoop combines a robust HDPE base with functional fabric Grip Tape. The tape changes the surface, not the basic learning technique. It adds grip during waist hooping but does not guarantee that the hoop will stay up automatically. Technique develops through the right initial push, movement and practice.
The permanently closed hoop is handmade and wrapped by Hoopomania in Germany. It has no push-fit connector and cannot be taken apart. Its main use is waist hooping; on a suitable clear surface it can also be used for simple movement games such as rolling.
Which size could be suitable?
Height and approximate age provide initial guidance when the appropriate hoop size is not yet known from experience. They are not fixed age, suitability or performance limits.
Above roughly 150 cm in height, beyond about 12 years of age, with previous hooping experience or whenever there is uncertainty, the size should be assessed individually.

Treat the Grip Tape and surface correctly
The fabric Grip Tape is functional, but frequent rolling on asphalt, impacts against rough surfaces and other mechanical loads can cause cosmetic wear and change its appearance. Wipe the hoop with a slightly damp cloth and store it dry indoors. Avoid permanent outdoor storage, intense sun, rain and other weather so that the tape, colours and HDPE remain attractive for as long as possible.
Allow enough distance from people, animals, furniture, vehicles and other objects. Do not continue using the hoop if it is visibly deformed, has sharp damage or the tape has come loose extensively.
